Post Graduate Common Entrance Test

PGCET is meant for Students who plan to do post graduate professional courses in Karnataka. PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance exam conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission to MBA, MCA, ME, MTech and MArch. The successful candidates in the test can get admission in universities, post graduate colleges, university departments and government aided & private institutes located in Karnataka.

There are around 178 participating institutes who offer admission to qualified candidates of PGCET. GATE qualified candidates are given first preference for seats and are not required to write PGCET, but should fill in the application form.

Eligibility

For P G engineering courses:

Candidates having B.Tech from any institution recognized by the Government of Karnataka with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for the test. SC/ST students from Karnataka need only 45% marks to qualify for the test.

The application is done online through the KEA website. PGCET is a pen & paper test conducted in several cities across the state of Karnataka.
