Graduate Management Admission Test

The GMAT exam is an international entrance exam for getting admissions to management courses in overseas B-schools and management colleges. The GMAT test is conducted to give admissions to various MBA/PGDM courses in the partnering management institutes across the globe. The GMAT exam assesses the candidates’ analytical writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in standard written English that are required for management courses.

GMAC

• The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is an international independent body for MBA/PGDM admissions in colleges across the globe; 
• The GMAC is a non profit organization formed by the collaboration of various management colleges across the globe and was founded in 1953. 
• The GMAC conducts GMAT exam every year for students to get entrance into MBA/PGDM programs in India and other countries

Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)

• The GMAT exam is an international level entrance exam for getting admissions to different MBA/PGDM courses across India and other countries 
• The candidates who qualify GMAT exam can get admission to the different business schools and participating management institutes with GMAC across the world

Note: There is Negative Marking for the wrong answers. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer

Eligibility

• The aspiring students who have completed their graduation degree in any stream with 50% aggregate marks from the recognised university are eligible to apply for the GMAT exam.  
• The candidates who are in the final year of bachelor’s degree can also apply to the GMAT exam. The minimum age criteria required for applying for the GMAT exam is 21 years. 
• The maximum Number of Attempts is 8 for the GMAT Exam.

Exam Format and Syllabus

• The GMAT exam is conducted by computer based (Online) mode and remote based proctored exam (online) from home. 
• The students are required to visit the specific exam centres in case of computer based (online) mode. While the students can give from their home in remote based proctored (online) mode 

The duration of the exam is 3.30 hours or 210 minutes. The GMAT exam paper will have 90 multiple choice questions (MCQs), that is divided into 4 major sections of:

• Analytical Writing
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Verbal Reasoning
• Integrated Reasoning

What’s New in the GMAT Exam?

1. The sectional time limit for each section has been revised
2. The candidates can choose the order of answering the sections
