GATE 2026 Notification – Application Form Opens from 28th August 2025
The GATE 2026 notification has also been publicly issued, and the GATE 2026 application form will start opening on 28th August 2025 online on the official GATE 2026 website. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level entrance exam that assesses the knowledge, comprehension, and proficiency of Candidates in engineering, technology, science, architecture, commerce, and arts. The GATE exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) alternately on behalf of the Government of India. The GATE examination is one of the most sought-after competitive exams in India.
Every year, many students appear for the GATE exam to take admission into M.Tech, ME, MSc and Ph.D at reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, and IISc Bangalore. In addition, many PSUs or Public Sector Undertakings in India, such as BHEL, ONGC, NTPC, IOCL, and HPCL, are accepting GATE scores for recruitment to various posts for engineering graduates. Moreover, certain universities in Singapore and Germany are accepting admission applications for some programs using GATE scores.
