The Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the Management Aptitude Test (MAT), September session examination, will be conducted on September 28, 2025, by the All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT is one of the most preferred MBA entrance exams in India and is accepted by more than a hundred management colleges in India. The MBA candidates willing to get themselves enrolled in business schools (B-schools) in India use the MAT scores as one of their strengths, along with other MBA exams, such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT and more.

As the MAT September 2025 Computer-Based Test (CBT) is just around the corner, here are all the details you need to know about the exam pattern, important details and exam guidelines.

What is the MAT Exam?

AIMA conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) as a national-level examination for MBA admission. The MAT entrance examination is completed under the Computer-Based Test (CBT), Paper-Based Test (PBT), and Internet-Based Test (IBT) modes. 

The Mat exam evaluates candidates based on their Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, and Indian & Global Environment. MAT scores are accepted by Top MBA colleges in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and other cities, and serve as an entryway into pursuing an MBA in India.

Guidelines for MAT September 2025 CBT

  • The MAT September 2025 CBT will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. You are recommended to arrive at the test centre at least 30 minutes before the exam starts. It is advised to reach the centre by 8:30 a.m., which allows you to complete security and verification procedures. 
  • You must have two physical copies of your MAT admit card 2025. You will need to show your government-issued photo ID proof, which could be an Aadhar card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, or PAN card. You will not be allowed to enter the testing hall without your ID.
  • Using a blue or black ink ballpoint pen, you will need to sign the attendance list. It is wise to bring your pen.
  • You may not bring your cell phone, calculator, smartwatch, or any electronic or metallic objects into the examination hall. If you are found in possession of any prohibited items, there are strict privacy policies under which action can be taken. 
  • If there has been a change in your name, you will need to bring legal documents as proof of the legal name change. If you are applying as a reserved category candidate, please bring your caste certificate, if applicable. 

As the MAT September 2025 CBT exam is less than 24 hours away, MBA aspirants should revise the MAT syllabus, previous year papers, and mock tests to increase confidence and improve accuracy.
